Schönbrunn Zoo, located on the grounds of Vienna's Schönbrunn Palace, was founded by the Habsburgs in 1752 and is the world's oldest zoo still in existence today. Thanks to numerous innovations, renovations and expansions, since the end of the 20th century it has remained one of the  most modern and most popular zoo's world-wide.
