The Kärntner Strasse, along with the Graben, is one of the most famous streets in the Vienna city centre. The Kärntner Strasse begins at Karlsplatz / Friedrichstrasse, running past the Vienna State Opera right into the centre of Vienna and to St. Stephen's Cathedral. At this point, the pedestrian zone continues westwards along the Graben.
